NADA MAKES X RAM

Nada Makes was contacted by Carmen Li (Royal Alberta Museum, Head of Conservation) in search of a solution for their waste. As a result of the conservation process a lot of waste coroplast waste (corrugated Polypropylene sheets) is produced. Due to a lack of recycling infrastructure this waste is destined for the landfill. So we started collecting this waste and experiment with our machines to see what we could turn it into.

After a few months of brainstorming & exploring we landed on a form that could truly demonstrate close loop systems at work. Orissa.S (Museum Shop Coordinator) had a plan for an earth day product launch — native seed packets, naturally a perfect coupling for seeds would be pots to plant them into! So we converted their plastic waste from the conservation department into mini planters that were then sold at the store.

Don’t waste your waste!
